Meet Our Founder

Samantha Amarathunga
Founder & Managing Director — Doory (Pvt) Ltd

Born in Galle and raised in Matara, Samantha is a proud old boy of Rahula College, Matara. He began his professional journey at multiple advertising agencies, building strong foundations in design and brand communication.

He later joined the McLarens Group as a Web Developer & Graphic Designer, gaining exposure to high-level digital design and corporate communication.

Samantha then worked with Small Axe, collaborating with a London-based team, elevating his standards of transparency, creativity and global-level delivery.

He later entered the environmental services sector and discovered his passion for professional pest control — serving 1,000+ clients islandwide over the years. This on-the-ground experience with homes and properties across Sri Lanka helped him clearly see the practical challenges people face when they live abroad and try to manage everything from a distance.

Samantha has also shared his expertise by educating teams and students at the University of Peradeniya and BPCS on modern pest control practices, drawing from both local and overseas experience in safe, professional pest management.

Combining 15+ years of experience across design, technology, operations and environmental services, he founded Doory as another business venture to give Sri Lankans living overseas a truly trustworthy local partner for their homes, properties and vehicles.

Do you charge for inspections?

We may charge a small inspection fee to cover travel, on-site assessment and related costs — and whenever a fee applies, it is fully deducted from your final job invoice. In some of our main service areas, we’re also able to offer free inspections depending on the job type and location.
